Development of the Design and Dynamic Analysis Software for Permanent Magnetic Actuator
Permanent magnetic (PM) actuator is extensively used on vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) because of its simple structure and high reliability. In order to avoid repeating research design and meet the demand of corporations in new product development, a design and dynamic analysis software of PM actuator for 12kV, 40.5kV and 72.5kV VCB is developed in this paper.neodymium magnets The design and dynamic analysis software of PM actuator in this paper adopts the idea of modular, using the Visual Basic program design language to develop a human-computer interaction interface with simple operation and full functions, applying windows pull down type menu and mouse shortcut menu for the operation of producing users. The software uses the automatic connection and loading to realize the relevant functions, they are: 1. The module of design calculation.
This module design the parameters of the PM actuator according the design constraint parameters given by producing users, and then send the design result to the data sharing module which is used for being called by other modules and viewing by users. 2. The module of electromagnetic field calculation and dynamic analysis. This module uses the Runge-Kutta method to solve the system of equations of magnetic field and mechanical movement, dynamic analysis of PM actuator is realized, and the simulate curve is drew according the dynamic result by Visual Basic, which http://www.chinamagnets.biz makes the result much more clear and visualized. 3. The module of design result output. This module uses the parameterization graphical picture drawing language AutoLisp to develop a plotting program of each components and general assembly design papers, which reduces the process of drawing work, the software drawing through AutoCAD and automatic loading plotting program. 4. The module of magnetic field analysis. This module can show the magnetic field calculation result to users by graphical display. 5. The module of control system. This module can show the contactor control schematic diagram and the electronic control circuit schematic diagram, printed circuit board drawing and element list. In addition, this software include help document, which is used to solve the users’ technical problems in the process of setting up and using. At last, a PM actuatorfor 12kV VCB is designed using this software, the testing of this VCB with PM actuator is done, the result of the testing show that the capability of the VCB meet a demand, which prove the correctness and practicality of this software.
