  Copper is widely applied in many professions by its outstanding electric conductivity,but its lower intensity has limited its application.Material strengthening and conductive enhancement are inconsistent,therefore,how tostrength becomes one of hot spots at present studies.The rare-earth elements are"the Vitamin"of metal materials;they have special functions in improving metal materials.In this experiment,people join rare-earth element La and Neodymium Magnets Ce in casting pure copper by the form of intermediate alloy and analyze its influences on behavior,conductivity,tensile strength,plasticity,hardness of casting pure coppers with differentamount of La and Ce.
  The research discovered that La and Ce improved copper’s casting properties.As the increase of Ce,the organizations appeared thinner,the metallurgy quality improved,the inclusion reduced andconductivity,tensile strength,plasticity and hardness enhanced.When the amount is more than 0.04%,the crystal boundary broadened,the organization became thicker,the conductivity,wear resistant and mechanics performances also reduced.
  Rare earth alloy can effectively improve the mechanical properties of hot-rolled state.As RE content increases,copper grain size decreases first and then increases;and the strength and hardness of copper with the increase of RE content first increased and then decreased, respectively,when the rare earth content of 0.04%,the copper specimen was the most a good comprehensive mechanical properties.The tensile strength and elongation of 0.04wt%Ce, respectively:σb=253.5Mpa,σ=7.67%;tensile strength and elongation of 0.04wt%La, respectively:σb=235.8Mpa,σ=13.6%.
  Rare earth elements can effectively improve the mechanical properties of annealed alloys. When the rare earth content of 0.04%,the copper http://www.everbeenmagnet.com/en/products/110-sintered-neodymium-magnets specimen was the best overall mechanical properties.Tests showed:Add 0.04 wt%Ce alloy by annealing process to achieve the best overall performance(conductivity of 100.1%IACS,tensile strength 152.36MPa).Add 0.04 wt% La alloy through the above process is also to achieve the best overall performance(conductivity of 100.7%IACS,tensile strength 156.02MPa).
